Last Minute Ticket Success Stories
It seems that it wasn’t just the crappy, cold-weather games in April that were easy to get tickets to. The Red Sox are continuing this year by releasing thousands of tickets for every game last minute, making everyone paying Ace and arm and a leg even more of a sucker.
In fact, right now there are seats for tonight’s early start Orioles game available and I have no doubt that those waiting in line on Landsdowne St. will be in luck.
There are plenty of other examples that I have heard about as well. By calling the box office at 10:45 am on a game day, one person was able to get a Budweiser Roof Deck table. The guy in the ticket office even told him that the seats had just been released a few minutes ago - probably a no-show by some kind of VIP that they were saving it for.
I also received this email from someone who found the blog searching google for Sox tickets:
Just wanted to say thanks. I really appreciate the info. I plan on getting to a lot more games now. I feel like a fool for having overpaid in the past. I owe you a beer.
If I see you at the game sometime, I’ll take you up on that beer!
I’ve been having luck as well. Everyone lined up for the Mariners over the weekend who wanted one got a ticket. Even about 30 minutes before game time, they were selling standing room tickets at the will call box office under the Monster.
Once interleague continues later this month, it may get tougher just becuase there is much more interest in teams we only see every few years, but even still, I am willing to bet I’ll see every game I want to and you should too.
