Tickets Galore!
So if you have been checking RedSox.com for tickets in the past couple days, odds are you have been happy.
Yesterday, on April 1 in the mid-afternoon, the Sox released Pavilion Box and Pavilion Standing Room for every game this year outside of the Yankees and Opening Day (all but the lottery games). This means all the other good teams, all weekends, nights, special games, and yes, even Patriots Day. Personally, I scored a bunch of weekend games that tend to be much harder to acquire throughout the season.
Then, today, the Sox issued a regular ticket drop for the 2nd and 3rd games of the season which are just a week away. Again, no opening day, but in this drop they had singles all over the park and pairs of seats were easily found for both games. Typically, pairs we were finding online were rows 13-16 in the infield grandstands right behind home plate. Sections 19 to 27. These are great tickets that would be costing you well over the $50 they cost of you were to get them from Ace, eBay or wherever else Sox tickets are resold.
This screen shot was taken during the on sale so you can see how many ticket categories really were available.
