New DVD: The Red Sox Baby

OK, so this one may not be for everyone. In fact, if you are over 4 feet tall, its almost definitely not written for you. But that doesn’t mean its bad… In fact, its probably the one gift that i was most excited about giving this year. You see, I have several friends with kids, and let’s just say they aren’t quite as passionate about the Red Sox as I am. Some of them even live in Connecticut, and as we all know, that is bordering on Yankee territory. And we wouldn’t want to let these kids grow up to be Yankees fans, now would we?
So this year, I am going to be giving out, as I like to call it, a Sox Fan recruiting tool. But the people who are selling it are just calling it… Red Sox Baby World Series Edition DVD featuring Ben Affleck
With Matt Damon narrating the World Series DVD, it is almost quite comical that Ben Affleck is doing the Baby version. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions there. But this DVD isn’t just about the 2007 world series. Its a great video for kids that serves as a training manual for being a Red Sox fan. They explain what the Green Monster is, where the bleachers are, and even go into some of the basics of baseball. I imagine that if I were 5 years old again, I’d be watching this thing over and over. And to think, I was stuck reading books about the sox when I was young.
I suppose if the Baby Einstein people ever did make their own version of SportsCenter, it would look a lot like this.
So take my advice - give your friend’s kids a World Series DVD that was meant for them this year for Christmas. Let the adults watch Matt Damon, and leave the young ones with Ben Affleck. Follow the link above to purchase.
