ALDS Sweep

The Sweep

Yes, The Red Sox are going to championship series! Its official. I’m not sure which game was more boring yesterday, the Sox throttling of the Angels or the Patriots making the Browns look like you had Madden on easy mode.

But nonetheless, it was still a nice day of watching Boston sports. And now… we have the Yankees and not much else to watch all week. I am thinking it may be a boring week… Especially if Cleveland takes care of business in the Bronx tonight.

The winner of that series, of course, comes to Fenway on Friday to play for a trip to the World Series, so I guess I am not too upset that they are playing again today. But I will never go on record saying I am glad the Yankees won anything, even if its third place in the pumpkin eating contest. I love seeing them fail.

And the truth is, Eric Wedge is about to look as dumb as Lou “I’m Saving my best pitcher for a game 4 that we’ll never play” Pinella when he send Marlon Byrd out to the mound to win tonight, again, to save his best pitcher for a game that may never be played. Is this a joke? I am hoping that they are going to pull Byrd in the third or fourth inning, or preferably, as soon as anyone touches third and then bring Sabathia and Carmona out of the bullpen to everyone’s surprise. But, alas, it probably won’t happen. He’ll look to take this back to Cleveland and force himself into a must win situation instead of doing everything he can to win tonight. Just plain dumb if you ask me.

But whoever we play, we’ll be ready. This is continuing to be an amazing season for the Red Sox! Can’t wait to be watching Beckett on Friday night.

Stumble it!
