Beckett’s Shutout

Simply Amazing! Beckett couldn’t have looked better. We would have been talking about a no hitter if it weren’t for Chone Figgins in the first inning, but it didn’t matter anyway. he had 8 strikeouts and finished the shutout with just 108 total pitches. This is what the playoffs are all about!
And to those lucky fans who waited outside Fenway for a ticket, you were in luck! It was unbelievable, but they were selling tickets at the door right up to about 6:15. That’s right, you could walk up and buy a ticket for face value. As little at $25 for bleacher seats!
But no matter what you paid to see the game today, it was worth it. That had to be one of the top 10 pitching performances in Red Sox history. How many pitchers have pitched shutouts in the post season? Not many!
I can’t wait to get back to the park to watch Daisuke continue the shutout!
Go Sox!
