3; AKA I Love Dionar Navarro

The number is down to three. Schilling looked great, and all the naysayers and pessimists that we heard from yesterday confirming that the Sox would continue to blow their lead at home while the Yankees stayed hot on the road have officially been shut up.
The lead is 3, the number is 3, and all because Dionar “Not Good Enough for the Yankees” Navarro made them pay by walking off in the 10th inning last night against Jeff Karstens.
Today, I am a happy camper. And the best part, playoff tickets arrived today! Are we having fun yet?
The 93rd win put the Sox in the lead for home field advantage, though Cleveland has 2 games today so they could have the lead by game time tonight, but either way, its looking like we will be at Fenway either next Wednesday or Thursday.
If there were to be a tie in best record in the AL, the tie breaker is record against opponent, meaning who won the series. Both of these tie breakers go the Red Sox way, as we won the season series with Anaheim 6-4 and beat Cleveland 5 out of 7 times. So all they need to do is have the most wins, and even if someone else ties us (we’re counting the Yankees out here) we will still be playing game 5 of the ALDS, game 7 of the ALCS and possibly even game 7 of the World Series at home (if necessary of course). I don’t care what the experts say, home field is a huge advantage, especially for this Red Sox team.
Things are looking good again. See, I told you we would all forget about being swept in Toronto last week very quickly!
