24 is Back After 24 Games

Manny Ramirez Returns

Manny Ramirez is back in the Sox lineup tonight. That’s right, after missing 24 games with a (mysterious?) oblique injury, #24 will be hitting ahead of David Ortiz (instead of behind, weird?) at Fenway Park today. Do you think he’ll go 2-4, with hits in the second and fourth innings? Or maybe he’ll make 2 bad plays, but 4 good ones too.

If he hits as well this week as he was before the injury, all should be forgotten. But if he sucks it up like he did in April, and the Yankees complete their comeback, I will lead the lynch mob and blame him for losing the AL East lead.

Really, I am just glad he is back, and more importantly, actually feels like playing again. After all, this will be his last pennant race with the Red Sox!

Stumble it!
