The Best Sausage at Fenway Park
This is Harry. He is pictured here with his mother. They are Italian, and cook up the best Italian sausage grinders (we are in New England, so they are grinders, not hoagies or subs!) that Fenway Park has to offer.
I have been attending Red Sox games for about 20 years now, and I would say that 75% of the time I go to the park, I grab a sausage from Harry (or grab a harry sausage for those of you who wish to make jokes). I have probably had more sausages cooked by this guy than i have had watered down beers made by Budweiser.
They are located on Landsdowne St. under the Coke umbrellas which Say “Sausage Connection.” If you are coming over the bridge from Kenmore, that would be the second vendor down the street.
Through the years, Harry has set up shop in various locations throughout the park. Back in the day, he was right at the corner. Then, Dan Duquette moved all the vendors out, so Harry was forced to be on the other side of the bridge by Kenmore Square. Then, Duquette decided to put the vendors right on Yawkey Way for a spell. That didn’t stick with the new owners though, and they gated off Yawkey, installed their own vendors, and sent the vendors to Landsdowne. But no matter where the Sox decide to hide their sausage, I will always be chasing after it. Especially when its from Harry and Ma!
They may be a bit expensive ($7 I think, though I always get a discount) but they are well worth it. You can bring it in the park with you, and Ma is always there to give you some foil to wrap it up if you so desire.
So next time you are at Fenway, say hello to Harry and grab a sausage grinder from Harry. And tell him the Super Fan sent you!

Great back story to this: When I first met SuperFan in college and we cajoled about our Fenway stories, I told him about how me and my father (when I was young), since we walked up from Brookline Ave to go to games, would always go to a certain saugage guy “at the corner” before games. My father somewhat knew the guy, but got a recommendation from my uncle (MSPCA cop) and his co-workers (BPD) because Harry is a big Bruins fan and they referred to him as the “Bruins sausage guy” (I believe he may have also used to sell sausages before Bruins games at Causeway back in the day when they had more vendors, not too sure).
Then me and Super Fan go to our first game and he tells me about a sausage guy that he and his dad go to for their pre-game hunger. And sure enough, it was Harry.
Best sausage at Fenway, by far…… and is a great warm up for later drunken baseball shenangians. Screw the generic ones inside the ballpark….go to the guys who have been honing their craft for years to make sure you have a great taste @ Fenway. Support the local vendors!
