It truly was an unlucky day for the Red Sox on Friday the 13th. Under this purple sky (did someone forget to push the button or something?) the Sox failed to hold a lead, giving up a pair of two out, cheap hits to the Blue Jays and failed to complete the comeback in the 9th. Julio Lugo actually got his hit leading off the 9th inning, and stole second quite easily.

Ortiz and Ramirez both had their chances with the winning run on first base (Pedroia walked after the steal) but it just wasn’t in the cards for the Sox.
