Lugo Actually Gets a Hit in Lopsided Win

Lugo's 2 RBI Single

Oh what a day it was. The Sox chased Howell after recording only two outs on the strength of Coco’s grand slam. He only hit one though - and I say only because he was up 4 times with the bases loaded. That has to be some kind of record, doesn’t it?

In total, the Sox scored 15 runs, completing the sweep of the Devil Rays. We are 22 games above .500 and still have 16 games against Tampa to play. And the Yankees? They won in spite of giving up 6 runs to climb to 40 wins, just 2 under .500.

I love it! Go Sox. They get a real test starting tonight in Detroit - Andrew Miller is the kind of guy who is likely to shut down the Sox - especially after the offensive explosion last night. He is 6′ 6″, a left handed pitcher, and a guy that none of the Sox players have seen much of before.

But I have faith - after all Tavarez has been the Sox most consistent pitcher this year!

Stumble it!
