Red Sox DVD: Faith Rewarded Off Day Viewing Review

On a day where there is no game, let’s take a moment to remember the historic 2004 season. There are plenty of books, DVDs, and even songs and web sites devoted specifically to the World Series Champion Red Sox, but none are better than NESN’s own Faith Rewarded.
Unlike the “official” DVD of the World Series, Faith Rewarded follows the team from the dreadful day in 2003 when the Yankees walked off in gaem 7 in teh Bronx right through the failed ARod and Schilling acquisitions, Spring Training, and the rest of the regular season. In such an up and down year in which the Sox weren’t playing at their best until August, its great to see everything that happened in between. Knowing that they will eventually go on to win the series, its nearly all good news (of course).
The key to this DVD is that it is produced by NESN, and therefore, there are mass amounts of footage from the actual games that not even the MLB h as rights too. If you are a real Red Sox fan, the 2 hours will fly by as you watch the team climb from the mediocrity it suffered all year to run hot into the playoffs, make the unforgettable comeback against a solid Yankees team, and sweep the Cardinals in the World Series.
If you are reading this site, and haven’t seen it yet, I ask you, what are you waiting for?
