Is it April 2 yet?
Maybe its because I’m blogging so much.
Maybe its Matsuzaka coming to Boston and all the media hoopla surrounding him.
Maybe its the fact that after a disappointing finish last year, the Sox have done a good job filling in their holes and weaknesses
Maybe its the fact that I work with Yankees fans and really want to show them up this year
Or maybe… I just plain love baseball!
Either way, I couldn’t be more excited for baseball season to start. Fantasy drafts are done, opening day rosters are set. Tickets for the first weekend are secured. Patriots day barbeques and parties are planned. The keg is full and the HD NESN channel is ready to broadcast all the games right in to my house.
I’m ready for baseball to start. I’m ready to watch the Sox and have my weekends ruined by a losing streak. I’m ready to be depressed when they blow a lead, and ready to jump up and down when Papi hits his inevitable walk off HRs this year.
When all is said and done, I’m ready for the Sox to start playing. Bring it on! See you at Fenway next week.
