Now that we know for sure how the rotation is shaping up, we can see exactly which games Daisuke will be pitching at Fenway this year. He gets a little warm-up in Kansas City before coming to Fenway, but once he is here he will have to:

1. Throw his first pitch at Fenway on April 11 (Wednesday) to Ichiro. He will face a Mariners team in the colds of April under the fierce scrutiny of the local media and everyone else watching him.
2. Second game starts at 10:05 am on Monday April 16 - his first Patriot’s Day. Can someone from Japan possibly understand what Boston becomes on this day? Actually, after seeing him in that beer commercial, he probably can. Either way though, does it get better than Patriot’s Day?
3. Yes! Because his third Fenway start is the Fox game of the week starting at 3:55 on Saturday April 21 vs. who else but Hideki Matsui and the Yankees in their second showdown of the year.

And the best part of all of this? I have tickets to all three of these games. Oh yeah!
