Roger Clemens - New York Yankee in 1999
On February 18, 1999, the Earth stopped rotating and Roger Clemens was wearing pinstripes. Coming off back-to-back Cy Young award winning seasons in Toronto, they let him go for David Wells, Graeme Lloyd, and Homer Bush. There was a lot of speculation that Clemens was demanding a trade and wanted out of Toronto (and out of Canada in general most likely), but it never escalated past rumor.
