Now is the time when the Red Sox remind us of how truly ridiculous this whole tickets thing has gotten. Where else in the world could a game, not just a baseball game, but any professional sport, or any kind of any event for that matter, be so popular that we have a lottery to sell tickets to it WHEN IT STARTS AT 10am, in APRIL, in THE COLD. Oh, and on a MONDAY. It’s absolutely wild. Of course, its no ordinary Monday - its Marathon Monday. And I agree with everyone, its possibly one of the best days to go to the game, warm or cold.

It will be different this year though - 1. the game starts at 10:05 instead of 11:05. I’ll have to set the alarm extra early for breakfast at Boston Beer Works before the game! 2. the marathon is also supposed to be starting later, meaning the normal timing of them finishing just as the game does will not occur. Looks like it’ll be lunch at Boston Beer Works as well, waiting for the race to end.

But anyway… Marathon Monday is a date that was not put on sale last weekend, becuase it will be available for purchase with the other premium games. And by premium, they meant Yankees and Opening Day. Some of us (lucky) folks got our Marathon Monday tickets in a 4 Pack, or know someone who did, but everyone else will have to get lucky in the lottery.

Anyway, sign up on the Red Sox Ticket Lottery Site and hope they let you spend money. Deadline is Monday.
