Schilling “I’ll play in ‘08!”
Curt Schilling — Have you ever seen another with such spirit?
Glad to see the “Ultimate Red Sock” isn’t ready to throw in the towel at the end of this season as initially planned. His contract will be expiring, but he’s in hopes of receiving an offer from our team. Schilling does not know where he’ll end up, but it’s definitely not going to be the Yankees. When a reporter asked him “how about New York” Schilling sharply replied “No. I could not make that move.” Schilling, we’re glad to see you aren’t following the paths of some other Red Sox (traitors?). Clemens anyone?
Schilling is basing this decision largely on the resonating influence of his family. His wife and kids don’t want to see him throw in the towel just yet! Hey, somebody’s gotta bring home the bacon. Though, I highly doubt finances are an issue in the Schilling household.
